UPDATE: This post was made as Shinn Shots Photography and does not represent the style or goals of Blue Space Photography. Because I believe in knowing where you’ve come from, I’ve left this here as a reminder of the journey that led me to where I am today. I now only shoot storytelling sessions, so be sure to check out my current work in more recent posts! – Lauren
There’s nothing like having a new baby to help you “relax.” And by “relax,” I mean not sleep, feed someone every 2 hours, and stress about how your oldest child is adjusting.
My little guy is almost 5 months old now and it never ceases to amaze me how demanding little babies are during the entire first year of life. Time seems to slip away these days, but in the ‘off-hours’, my brain has been pondering photography.
Truth be told, the time away was good for me. I’ve had time to take a step back, breath, and think about my work. I’ve had time to be creative. I’ve had time to explore my style. I’ve had time to think about where Shinn Shots Photography is headed. And, boy have I had time to miss it! And to miss all of you!
I have so many plans for Shinn Shots Photography that I am getting impatient waiting for the time to put all my new ideas in action! That’s the funny thing about life…it just keeps marching on. And it does seem to march faster with little ones around!
Please forgive me for not offering more regular updates on my family! Many of you have expressed interest in meeting Patrick, and even sent sweet emails, letters, and gifts. Did I mention that I have the best clients ever?!
Of course, during my time away, I haven’t left my camera sitting idly by. I’ve been busy taking every chance I get to photograph my new little guy.
My favorite series with Patrick involve his feet. How is it that little baby feet are so darn cute? After capturing a wonderful picture of his newborn foot, I decided to create a timeline of his growth…based on his feet. It sounds weird, I know, but I can’t wait to get his newborn through 1st year feeties up on my wall in a collage!
Until I see you again, here are some pictures of what’s been keeping me busy lately.
